Hello! My name is Jade, and welcome to my home on the Internet, Oh Antipodes. I am a Consultant in the Financial Markets by day and an aspiring lifestyle blogger by night.
I was born in Sydney, Australia and after a fairly eventful childhood, I stumbled in to my work as an Operational Consultant within Investment Banking by pure accident, when I got my first full time job as a data entry analyst at a small British Investment Bank which had an office in Sydney. I experienced many "firsts" in this job, but I am forever grateful that I was able to meet a friend who introduced me to my now husband a few months after we met.
After getting married in 2007, my husband and I moved to London where we set up a whole new life in a brand new city, somewhere I had never actually even been before. We have happily combined our love of travel, food, design and fashion into a life I never expected or dreamed about. In fact, we are so happy here in the UK, we have recently bought a flat and are no-so-happily packing up in time for the big move at the end of August 2012.
I enjoy spending my spare time doing a wide variety of things, like cooking, shopping, reading and watching far too much television.
